It would be dubious if I pinpoint the exact period of time when women started using makeup. Adam and Eve were the first human*, so let’s assume the fascinating realm of makeup started from here. How do I know, to be honest with you, I don’t! The beauty industry is constantly growing and it will continue to expand with the tremendous demand for varied beauty products. It is about 511-billion-dollar industry and this figure will increase furthermore in the coming year.
What is beauty? In context to women, beauty is the structural features including shape, size, and color. Whereas pleasing is also related to beauty. For centuries, beauty is associated with harmony and proportion of the contour. And to illuminate these contours, people have performed various experiments. The first known beauty product came from ointments and scented oils. Kohl was a customary makeup applied by men and women in Egyptian royals. White powder, malachite, rouge, and various essential oils were the key ingredient traced back to 10,000–3000 BCE.
